Bird Onsen A birdbath at the foot of Mt. Fuji

Long-tailed Tits, Varied Tits, Warbling White-eyes, Cinereous Tits and other forest birds come to drink and bathe at a Kimachi-stone birdbath, about 50 cm across, in a forest garden at the foot of Mt. Fuji. Now and then a Japanese Squirrel stops by for a drink, too. A camera watches over the birdbath and keeps a record of every visitor. All times are Japan Standard Time (UTC+9).

The accumulated observation records are available as a comma-separated table that opens in spreadsheet software. Night-time records, detections whose species could not be identified, and classification confidence are all included rather than removed. There is no interface for automated access by other programs. The species names in the table and the explanation file are in Japanese; scientific names are included.

Table format

Column names follow the observations table of Camtrap DP, a data standard for camera-trap records. Each row is one bird or other animal detected by the camera.
